a friend is:
1 : a person who has a strong liking for and trust in another person.
2 : a person who is not an enemy.
3 : a person who helps or supports something.
But here in Nigeria this friend of yours arrests you for any reason or no reason at all and, ... If you prove to know your onions on how the police should work, ( oh Boi dat one na trouble oo)
Every step a citizen takes towards accepting that the police is truly a friend ends up in making him a suspect.What an ironical practice of democracy in a country which claims to be the giant of Africa!
Some couple of weeks ago , my colleague saw KAI Official arresting Dispatch riders and the young man decided to take their picture as a journalist should...The guy received the worst beating of his life and as if that was not enough , he was arrested and taken to Alausa inside a BLACKMARIA
Another incident just like this also happened around Ogba Ikeja , the journalist was arrested and parted with N5,000 before he was realised.
So, be the Judge ...is police really your friend?
