What Goes Around.

The thing about life is that when you think you got all figured out, it turns back and laughs at your face. We have seen instances of people having a larger than life attitude, living like they own the world and it owes them no explanation. Well, people like that have had to share their experiences which in most cases case is not pleasant.

The whole talk about karma may seem overrated to many but in my findings, it has proven time and time again to be the most fundamental unwritten law of nature. It cuts across all cultures and religions, leaving her mark in the sands of time. What you do has a way of coming back to you, thus the saying goes; karma is a b**ch.

It is worthy of note that our lives are mirrors through which we see ourselves, our friends and family see us and the way the world view us in totality. While it is okay to say that your life is yours and the way you choose to lead it is of no concern to the world, we must also not fail to recognize that what you do has a ripple effect whether directly or indirectly to the society.

We are what we think, say or do. Living right should be of utmost importance to every human, to lead a just and upright life devoid of negativity, malice, selfishness, greed etc.

How can one live an upright life in this twenty first century marred by all forms of seductive vices you might ask? Where all we see seems to promote nothing but the opposite, where sex sells and it’s legal to marry a canine talk less of marrying someone of the same sex. Where politicians loot the treasury to their fill at the detriment of the people, where it has become norm to lynch a poor man for stealing a cube of Maggi but praise a minister who steals billions with his pen.

You might look at all these and say it’s not worth it, that there’s no point trying to be upright, that it doesn’t pay to, the good guys are not reaping their “goodness”. All you need to do is just look deep down at the lives of these people, what they did has in one way or another paid them back in their own coin.

In some case it has trickled down to generations, whereby we see children suffering the sins of their fathers. Most are having serious issues/problems that they’ve tried to resolve but to no avail.

Being humble, Kind, caring, appreciative, just and nice will ensure a world where anything is possible, a world devoid of strife and hunger, war and hatred; instead it will promote peace and love make the world a better place. So make a conscious effort to be a better person today, not just for you but for all.
