Wastage or Love? Daughter of oil tycoon weds in $873,000 Dress.

In a dress worth $873,000, clearly no expense was spared for the fairy tale wedding of Madina Shokirova, the daughter of a Russian oil tycoon.

Tying the knot with a man identified only as "Sador" it was an event that would put the fanciest of celebrity weddings to shame.

Held in the luxurious Radisson Royal Congress Park hotel in Moscow, 9,000 guests were reportedly in attendance. Which may explain the need for such a gargantuan cake.

When guests weren't mistaking the cake for a small building, they would have been mesmerised by the bride's haute couture dress by British fashion house Ralph & Russo.

The bride chose the less prominent brand, dismissing a wedding gown from one of the leading haute couture houses of Zuhair Murad.
