Wrongly Jailed for 31 Years, Man Gets N23,000 Compensation.
Lawrence McKinney, 60, was wrongfully convicted of rape and burglary in 1978 and sentenced to 115 years in prison.
However, DNA evidence examined in 2009 eventually ruled him out as a suspect – meaning that, after spending most of his life behind bars for a crime he didn’t commit, he was a free man.
After his release, McKinney was given a paltry $75 – around £60.
He could be eligible for up to $1m in compensation if a parole board hears his exoneration case – but this has been denied twice already.
McKinney, from Memphis in Tennessee, told CBS News: ‘I don’t have no life. All of my life was taken away.’
His lawyer Jack Lowery agrees, and says he deserves some compensation for being denied freedom for most of his life.
‘It is not justice for him not to receive compensation for being wrongfully imprisoned,’ he added.
In September, a parole board voted 7-0 to deny him an exoneration hearing. Now it’s up to Tennessee’s governor, Bill Haslam, to make a final decision.
‘There has been one mistake made that sent him to prison,’ Lowery added. ‘I trust that another is not made that does not allow him exoneration.’

Senator Murray-Bruce Vows to Fight Against Data Price Hike.
As telecommunication companies in gear up for an increase in the price of mobile internet, also called data, a Senator representing one of the districts of Bayelsa state, Ben Murray-Bruce, has hit the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari very hard.
Murray-Bruce, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said he would be on the side of Nigerians to fight against the policy.
The Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) had recently asked the telecommunication companies to increase their data rate so the government can make more money through taxation. The move was also confirmed by Adebayo Shittu, the communications minister, who said through such increase, the government would be able to develop the sector and build more infrastructure.

Ondo People Have Decided, I am Humbled – Akeredolu
The All Progressives Congress candidate in the Ondo governorship election, Rotimi Akeredolu has said he is humbled, after winning majority votes at Saturday’s election.
Akeredolu had won in 14 Local Government Areas out of the 17 LGAs, already announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
While thanking Ondo people for choosing him as the governor of the state, he said it was time to think and act anew.

Ray J Releases Kim Kardashian Diss Track in Response to Kanye West’s ‘Famous’ (Audio)
Singer Ray J dropped the track, which features Chris Brown on Monday via Apple Music where he sings about how the Kardashian family is famous because of his relationship–and leaked sex tape–with Kim Kardashian.
“She **** me for fame, look in her eyes/ She was the first one to sign on the line/ She was the real one to plan it all out/ Look at the family, they walk around proud/ All because she had my **** in her mouth,” Ray J sings.
The “Love and Hip Hop” star goes on to sing that he’s married and happy now.
Back in June, West premiered his “Famous” video at an exclusive Tidal event. The video featured a naked wax figure in the likeness of Ray J and Chris Brown amongst other celebrities like Taylor Swift and Donald Trump.
Ray J’s “Famous” dropped the same day that Kanye West was hospitalized after abruptly canceling the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo tour. The rapper had previously demonstrated some erratic behavior over the past week, including ranting about Beyoncé and Jay-Z and ending concerts early.

Recall that the controversial pastor and founder of Mount Zion General Assembly who had in the past allegedly killed one of his members after he put a speaker on top of her body to prove God’s power, , sprayed his members’ faces, legs and hands with an insect killer.According to him, he was performing ‘healing miracle.’

In the intense footage, Bieber can be seen sitting in the backseat of a moving car when a fan runs up and touches his chest through the open window.
The man then continues to run alongside the vehicle with his hand inside, before Bieber socks him once in the mouth. Shocked onlookers immediately gather around the man, who was left with a bloody lip. Although it can’t be seen clearly in the video, a source close to Bieber tells Gossip Cop the man grabbed the singer by the face.
Bieber’s personal space has become a particular issue over the past few days. Late last week, while the singer was in Prague, a fan grabbed Bieber’s pants and pulled them down, exposing his rear-end.
A bodyguard for the singer, pulled his pants back up and rushed him into a car for safety. Bieber also got into a slugfest in Cleveland in June when he was in Ohio for the NBA Finals.
A man took a swing at Bieber’s head inside a hotel, leading the singer to throw a counterpunch. Bieber and the man then wrestled on the ground, and were pulled apart. Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first scuffle the singer has gotten into in Spain. In 2014, he got into a shoving match with Orlando Bloom outside of a restaurant in Ibiza.
Kanye West Suffering From 'Temporary Psychosis Due to Sleep Deprivation': Report
Reports are beginning to emerge about Kanye West's hospitalization on Monday (Nov. 21), which a source told Billboard was due to exhaustion and sleep deprivation.
According to a TMZ report, West's personal physician called 911 and reported that 'Ye was suffering from "temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration" and that he was placed under a 5150 psychiatric hold. Doctor Michael Farzam reportedly told police that West was not violent but would likely become so when police came to fetch him. Asked by Billboard on Tuesday (Nov. 22) morning to confirm that he is West's personal physician and that he has been treating the star, Farzam offered a "no comment."
An unidentified law enforcement source told TMZ that the call came in describing a male with mental illness, with Farzam ID'ing the patient as "Jim Jones, 39 years old, 5'8", 175 lbs." The police report obtained by TMZ also says that Farzam claimed he'd placed West on a 5150 psychiatric hold and wanted him transported to UCLA Medical Center, though it's unclear if Farzam personally placed the 5150 on his patient. Farzam reportedly told police that the rapper had attempted to assault a staff member at the gym where he was working out.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Billboard that a patient matching West's description was transported without incident by paramedics to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on Monday afternoon after reports of a "medical emergency."
TMZ reported that, per protocol for a 5150 hold, West was handcuffed to a stretcher during his transport to UCLA, though that detail has not been confirmed by police or the hospital. Spokespeople for West did not provide additional comment at press time.

Lauryn Hill unleashes a fierce performance of her track "Lost Ones" mixed with Fela Kuti's "Zombie" in a new live video filmed during a Paris concert in September.
The Paris performance was part of a Fela Kuti tribute, though Hill has been touring for much of the year and has added additional dates to her MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling! Concert Series.Joined by Kuti's son, Seun Kuti, and the Afrobeat legend's former band, Egypt 80, the unique mashup of Hill's Miseducation cut and Kuti's 1976 classic begins at a fever pitch and hardly lets up for nearly seven minutes.

Nigerian singer and 2010 project fame winner, Chidinma has just dropped a smashing new music video for her latest song titled ‘Fallen In Love’.
Now here’s the catch. Back in February, she parted ways with her former label, Capital Hill records led by ace cinematographer, Clarence Peters.
Now, her new music video opens with a montage of Flavour‘s record label, 2nite Music Group.
For several years, dating rumours have trailed Chidinma and Flavour, a trail that burned even brighter when she released the video’s single just over a week ago.

About 30 percent of Nigerians in America are Muslims.
Hillary Clinton Dances With Ellen DeGeneres, Amy Schumer.
The Democratic presidential candidate taped an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, in which DeGeneres' DJ taught her how to do the popular dance, which she did alongside DeGeneres.
Clinton tries to Nae Nae in the final 15 seconds of the video below from the Associated Press' coverage of the taping.
This week, the L.A.-based DeGeneres is taping some episodes of her syndicated talk show from an open-air stage at Rockefeller Center, marking the first time episodes of her show have been taped in New York since 2007.
Clinton also talked about Kanye West's recent announcement that he plans to run for president in 2020, saying, according to Yahoo TV, "I would only ask him, if I were to be running for reelection, just wait."
According to the Associated Press, the Democratic presidential candidate also talked about the controversy over her using a private email account while she was secretary of state, with her again apologizing and insisting she didn't violate any State Department regulations.
"I made a mistake, and I'm sorry for all the confusion that has ensued," Clinton said. The Democratic front-runner also promised to fight for equal rights as president, recalling how after she got married she applied for a credit card but was told she couldn't have one of her own.
"I would have to use my husband's," she said, according to the AP. "And I was making more money than he was!"
DeGeneres also seemed to endorse Clinton, telling her, "You are the smartest and most qualified person for this job."
Clinton, 67, also had a swift comeback when asked about the fact that if she's elected she'd be one of the oldest presidents to take office.
"The way I look at it, I would be the youngest woman elected president."
Clinton's appearance will air on Thursday's show.

Donald Trump Wins, Snoop Dogg Asks Drake if There’s Room for Him in Canada.
The veteran rapper posted an image of Toronto on his Instagram page, with a caption asking Drake to hook him up on some property info.
“My new home,” Snoop captioned the picture of Toronto’s skyline. “@Champagepapi I need the hookup on some property. Nefew f— this s—. I’m going to the 6ix.”
Apparently, California legalizing recreational marijuana use wasn’t enough to keep Snoop from kicking rocks. London on da Track co-signed Snoop’s announcement, saying that he’s moving to Canada too.
Snoop, of course, wasn’t the only hip-hop star to express outrage and shock at the election results. Questlove, Meek Mill, T.I. and more chimed in with their thoughts about the election as well.

Guess what! -Big Brother Nigeria' Is Returning,10 Years After Its First Season.
MultiChoice Nigeria has announced the return of the Nigeria reality TV show based on the Big Brother TV series; Big Brother Nigeria. Now referred to as Big Brother Naija, the show is returning after a ten year break.
Speaking on the latest development, Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe said the return of the show is one of the ways the company is enhancing the quality and variety of content available on its platforms.
According to him, the show has been well developed following the successes of past seasons of Big Brother Africa.
“Big Brother Africa was popular for its entertainment value and ability to showcase ordinary Africans from different walks of life. We decided to re-invent the reality show once again by bringing back the Nigerian version which we are confident will draw pan-African audiences for the same reasons that Big Brother Africa did”, he said.
In the first edition of the show, twelve housemates vied for the coveted $100,000 prize money by performing various mental and physical tasks. At the end of a three-month stay in the house, Katung Aduwak emerged winner. The show also produced other notable stars such as Africa Magic’s Tinsel actor, Gideon Okeke, and TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Ugbe revealed that auditions for Big Brother Naija will hold in Lagos on the 26th and 27th of November as more information on the show will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Big Brother Naija is sponsored by online retail store, PayPorte and will air on dedicated event channels on DStv and GOtv in January 2017.
Justin Bieber's ex Jayde Pierce Reveals She is Six Months Pregnant.
The former girlfriend of the Canadian crooner is expecting her first child, revealing her burgeoning bump on Instagram.
Jayde Pierce - who split with the singer at the start of this year - revealed on social media that she is six months pregnant.
The 21-year-old blogger and model is expecting a child with fellow blogger and rapper Mike Dixon.
The blogger kept her pregnancy under wraps until two weeks ago, when she posted a picture of herself wearing a swimsuit.
Jayde wrote: 'We are so excited to finally announce we are expecting a baby! I still can't believe me and the love of my life have created another life that's growing inside of me.
'It's been the hardest but one of the best times of my life so far. We can't wait to meet you little baby & we love you so much.'
The couple - who live together in London - have been dating less than a year and describe the baby as unexpected blessing.
Jayde and the rapper are very active on social media but concealed the pregnancy until they got the all-clear five month scan.
Now they are being very candid about the pregnancy, taking to YouTube to answer fans questions revealing the pregnancy was not planned and that she considered having an abortion.

'I didn't think I would have kids. There was no actual reason for me not to have kids, I just wasn't bothered about kids I just didn't think it would happen.
'I thought ''Oh my god'' as I'm only 21. Now I'm fine with my age but at first I was thinking ''I'm still young, I've started my career'' and I was just thinking about stuff like that and I just got over it.
